LITTLE TROPIC was created after an umpteenth unsuccessful shopping session. As a Caribbean woman, I wear my locs with pride and I love having colourful hair accessories. When I was looking for hair accessories, I was always disappointed by the lack of vibrant colours, not hair type friendly and the cherry on top was highly mass-manufactured products. I knew there had to be something I could do. From that moment, I was on a mission to create Australian handmade flamboyant scrunchies.

As a creative person, I love to learn, I bought my first sewing machine and started making scrunchie samples. And, after testing numerous scrunchie sizes and fabric types, I found the perfect scrunchie size that is suitable for all hair types.
